The Global Dialogue Prize is organized by the Global Dialogue Council, an independent institution of academics who work pro bono.
The Global Dialogue Council accepts nominations by third parties and invites an Award Committee. The Award Committee consists of international specialists in intercultural dialogue, who are academic lead figures and represent a wide spectrum of cultural traditions. The decision of the Award Committee is based solely on merit, relative to the selection criteria stated in the description and call sheet of the award; sponsors, organizers, and all consulting committees of the award are strictly committed to the principles of academic freedom. The Award Committee decides on, and is responsible for, the choice of the laureate.
